Overcoming the Challenges of Scope Management

Brief Description
Scope creep can be devastating to a project. In addition to being difficult to manage, it can come in many forms. This presentation will discuss various ways it can "creep" in, and suggest methods to overcome and manage it.
Bio
Steven Souther, PMP is an engineering Graduate of Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo, and has performed in engineering and management roles mainly focused on Information Technology for the past 29 years. He has worked in Manufacturing, Research & Development, Marketing, and Executive Management. He holds both US and European Patents in disk drive technology. He’s been a member of PMI since 2005, and was a member of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter prior to joining the Los Padres Chapter, and is a member of the PMI Consulting Special Interest Group. He has Project managed professionally for the past 3 years for clients such as Safeway Stores, Chevron, PG&E, John Muir Hospital, and several City, County, and State agencies.
